“This class is so unique and imaginative. Stephanie promotes the journey of art rather than just the product, which is so beneficial to a little artist. My daughter gained confidence in her ideas and developed a real growth mindset about her art. We would give this class more than 5 stars if we could!”
This camp is a great way to sample the feel of the weekly ongoing class that meets from September-May!

WHAT IS THIS CAMP?
This joyful, playful art camp is all about imagination, laughter, and embracing the joy of the unexpected!
There are no mistakes here — the focus is entirely on exploration and the fun of the process, not the final product. Finished artworks may not always be "refrigerator-worthy" - sometimes kids might not want to keep anything but the experience itself!
Shy students or students who might find it more challenging to make art for fear of mistakes tend to drop their guard and enjoy themselves thoroughly when the pressure to produce has been lifted.
Over five lively sessions, kids will dive into imaginative, unexpected prompts that encourage playful experimentation. We focus on process over product — it’s not about making “perfect” art, but about exploring ideas, laughing together, and learning that mistakes are just part of the creative journey.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CLASS?
I facilitate a supportive atmosphere where students can follow their own ideas freely! I use a document camera on my hands but sometimes turn it off during work time so students don’t feel pressured to copy copy me.
We start with fun prompts to spark art-making - eg drawing a specific shape, or tearing their paper a certain way
20ish minutes of open work time and chatting
Optional sharing* time at the end (never forced!) - though this often happens organically throughout
*I understand some kids are more shy than others! I strive to create an environment where learners feel brave/comfortable enough to share when they feel ready.
