THE NITTY-GRITTY
FOR WHO: Ages 8-11 (number of students: minimum 3, maximum 9)
WHERE: Online via Zoom
WHEN: The class meets once a day for 4 days
JUNE-AUGUST 2026: Dates TBA
WHAT IS THIS CAMP ABOUT?
In this camp, learners will use their imaginations to draw their own fantastical creatures! Each day, we'll explore different approaches to creature creation. We'll take inspiration from creatures of mythology as we discuss how to combine features from different animals, or experiment with adding unusual elements like extra wings or magical patterns. What would happen if you combined a lion with an eagle? What might a creature that lived inside a volcano look like? Learners might create their own variations on classic mythological beings, or invent entirely new ones.
